Brian D. Annulis started his career with the Office of General Counsel, United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and has continued to provide counsel to healthcare providers, suppliers, practitioners, manufacturers and health plans ever since. After leaving public service, he joined a national law firm where he counseled clients on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and program participation, corporate compliance, and the federal Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute and civil False Claims Act. he is well-versed in matters affecting health care entities, and focuses his practice at Meade & Roach and Aegis Compliance & Ethics Center on health care regulatory and compliance concerns, with a particular focus on health information privacy and security.
A graduate of Loyola University with a J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law and a M.H.A. from the Saint Louis University School of Public Health, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys. He is also certified in Health Care Compliance by HCCA.
